Woo & food go hand in hand for me. Back in the late 90’s I was studying the teachings of Rudolf Steiner, while working in the kitchen at a health food store in Nyack, NY. Fascinated by the geometry of vegetables (and the information the geometry imparts to our cells), and Steiner’s perspective on different plant parts resonating with different systems in the body, I set out to learn more about holistic nutrition. The mantra that we are all so familiar with, is “You are what you eat”. What you eat literally becomes you. Take a minute to take a mental inventory of your food choices as of late. How do you feel – physically, mentally & spiritually?
While we have seen the rise in awareness around organics & healthier food becoming more accessible in recent years, at the same time the impact of GMOS, Round Up/Glyphosate & antibiotics, processed foods devoid of nutrition still fill our store shelves. We are starving - both nutritionally, but also on an energetic/spiritual level. The life force of nature, in all her healing wisdom & nutrition, is absent from so many plates in this country & around the world.
If you’d love to have a little more control over your food, growing your own is the way to go! We’ve got a whole rack of High Mowing Organic Seeds at Hidden Gem on Main. You can plant them with intention & infuse your veggies with your presence, attention & affirmations…you can bring in some ritual or ceremonial aspect to the process and when you are ready to harvest, the food you ingest will be nourishing you on a whole other level.
Wishing you a vibrant, healthy spring,
Julie
