As we welcome July, the sentiments of “Freedom & Independence” seems to permeate the fabric of reality around us. My sense is that wherever you stand on the political spectrum, your perception/relationship/understanding of Freedom is being challenged by the unfolding events & world around us these days.
If you need a little perspective shift, I invite you to think about this quote from Rudolf Steiner: “To be free is to be capable of thinking one's own thoughts - not the thoughts merely of the body, or of society, but thoughts generated by one's deepest, most original, most essential and spiritual self, one's individuality.” Or this one by Albert Camus: “The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.”
Dare to think your own thoughts, speak your truth & challenge the status quo. Be the change you want to see in the world.
